A micro gallery is just that – a small art gallery. Think of the various book lending libraries that one might see around their neighborhood, except these are “purposefully” built to be a free standing art gallery in people’s front yards.
And built to exhibit art, but not micro art. Real art by artists from anywhere and everywhere. Though in some cases, the micro gallery might only exhibit the resident’s own work or that of a family member, or exhibit work of other artists monthly. With openings too. Like other art galleries.
The exterior measures 21″ x 17″ x 17″ (HWD) with interior dimensions of 14″ x 15″ x 15″ (HWD) with removable walls and floor. This gives enough space for three 9″ x 12″ pieces of art to hang on the walls or a volume of 1.8 ft3 to fill with freestanding art.
Water tight and relatively secure to the outside world, there is also a light to illuminate the art at night. So, yeah… it is an art gallery, but smaller. A micro gallery for art.
